Ms. Cahill has represented manufacturers who produce industrial equipment, farm machinery, pharmaceuticals, bio-medical equipment, food/beverages, toys, cosmetics, consumer products, and cannabis. Recent legislative developments have enabled Ms. Cahill to assist companies in creating risk avoidance platforms.
Ms. Cahill deploys a host of different trainings annually, virtually and in-person. These trainings include product safety, situational awareness, management and leadership, cannabis safety, regulatory compliance, professional and business development, and diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
Currently, Ms. Cahill is assisting cannabis companies throughout the United States to get licensed in the Cannabis industry. She provides regulatory advice and guidance on micro licensing and vertical integration. Ms. Cahill has an extensive background in agribusiness and has incorporated that knowledge to assist clients in the cultivation, processing, distribution, labeling and packaging of cannabis products. Ms. Cahill is also working with the industry to educate various companies on cannabis safety in order to avoid product recalls.
Prior to establishing Cahill Consultants, Ms. Cahill was a Managing Director at Marsh USA Inc., leading the Global Product Risk Practice. This practice specialized in providing professional consulting services for clients who encountered a product recall, product tampering, product contamination, product safety or product liability issue.
Before joining Marsh, Ms. Cahill worked as a Regulatory Compliance Expert in a variety of professional capacities. The early part of her career began with the management and coordination of an international multimillion-dollar pharmaceutical litigation. This litigation included an extensive review and analysis of FDA trials to determine compliance with federal regulations, as well as the compilation of a strategic worldwide recall plan. Additionally, Ms. Cahill served as a Global Director for PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in the area of regulatory compliance and product recall. During her tenure at PwC, Ms. Cahill assisted an automotive giant with the largest recall to date, which encompassed one hundred twenty-two countries.
Her most notable accomplishments include assisting an automotive supplier, and four major car companies, in one of the largest known recalls in the industry. The recall originally included every automobile that was made and sold nationally and abroad with ABS brakes. Ms. Cahill’s ability to implement a successful investigation, as well as coordinate a strategic recall plan, saved the supplier its reputation as well as millions of dollars.
Preceding her tenure with PwC, Ms. Cahill worked with CNA Insurance Company to develop an international practice in the area of product recall and regulatory compliance.
Ms. Cahill is an associate professor of law. Currently she lectures at several law schools around the country in the areas of product liability, class action litigation and regulatory compliance. Additionally, Ms. Cahill lectures in the U.S. and abroad in an effort to educate companies about product recall and regulatory compliance. Ms. Cahill has published several articles and a primer in the area of regulatory compliance and product recall.
